Should the wheels wear in such a manner that "clamping" of vac to pool bottom occurs, the wheels may need replacing. If this "clamping" should occur, turn off the pump before trying to free your flexible pool vacuum. To remove the vacuum wheels, squeeze in on the slotted end of the axle with pliers to push out. To replace vacuum wheels, position the wheel in wheel bracket, push axle through bracket and wheel and snap through the bushing
