According to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, an average of 350 children under the age of five years drown in swimming pools and another 2,600 children under the age of five years are treated in hospital emergency rooms for near-drowning incidents. Almost 80% of incidents occur at a home location. Department of State to require any swimming pool installed or modified
